GIC and the Canadian Pension Plan entered into due diligence to acquire the Charter Hall Office REIT (A portfolio of a total 19 commercial office properties located in VIC, NSW, ACT, WA & QLD, with a transaction value of $1.8 Billion), including: 2 Park Street, Sydney, 1 Martin Place, Sydney, 300 LaTrobe Street, Melbourne, 150 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne, 175 Eagle Street, Brisbane.
Our scope of work included the review of project documentation, physical inspections of the building and building services, environmental and hazardous materials assessments and building regulation audits – reporting on risk and forecast capital expenditure. The investigations uncovered an asbestos issue with one of the assets, which was subject to further assessment and management.
